To provide a safety cap device capable of reliably closing a cap by providing an irrotation prevention mechanism which runs idle without locking when turned in a cap-opening direction.
The safety cap device has an irrotation prevention mechanism which closes an inner cap when an outer cap is turned in the cap closing direction A and runs idle when the outer cap is turned in the cap opening direction B between an inner cap 10 which is screwed to a container neck portion 1 and closed, and the outer cap 20 to turnably cover the outer circumference of the inner cap. A locking projection part 23 which is projected inwardly when pressed is provided on a skirt part 22 of the outer cap 20, and an engagement part 15 to be engaged with the locking projection part is provided on the outer circumference of the inner cap 10.
