PURPOSE: To provide a sample-holding device of a vibration tester which vibrates a sample while holding the sample elastically to achieve the same condition as when the sample is transported by a truck or tone like, and a vibration test method.

CONSTITUTION: A sample-holding device 3 for holding a sample 2 is roughly constituted of a fixed frame 4 fixed onto a vibration-adding panel 1a and a sample-pressing mechanism 5 set at the fixed frame 4. The fixed frame 4 has a fixed plate 6 supported to face the vibration-adding panel 1a, a supporting plate 7 for supporting the sample-pressing mechanism 5 above the fixed plate 6, and four fixing rods 8 for fixing the fixed plate 6 and supporting plate 7 to the vibration-adding panel 1a. The sample 2 is elastically pressed and held via a sample-pressing plate 12 and pressing rods 13a-13d urged by the spring force of coil springs 14a-14d of the sample-pressing mechanism 5 to shift in accordance with the vibration. The sample 2 is held with the same degree of freedom as when transported actually.
