PURPOSE: To realize an analog horizontal scanning IC which drives a high- definition liquid crystal panel by constituting a high-speed sampling and holding circuit of small offset voltage.
CONSTITUTION: A first switch 101 which has a small ON-state resistance and can write a video signal in a hold capacity 103 at a high speed and a second switch 102 which has a large ON-state resistance and has a small offset voltage in the hold capacity 103 are connected in parallel to constitute a sampling and holding circuit 10. Both switches are turned on to perform sampling, and the first switch 101 which writes the signal at a high speed is first turned off, and the offset voltage due to this turning-off is reduced by the second switch 102, and thereafter, the second switch 102 is turned off.
