Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a recycled pulp having a reduced ash content and capable of being reusable as a sanitary product from a used sanitary product including pulp fiber and a super absorbent polymer.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing a recycled pulp, including: a calcium treatment step of treating a used sanitary product with a water-soluble calcium compound to dewater a super absorbent polymer in the used sanitary product; a decomposing step of decomposing the used sanitary product into pulp fiber and the other material by acting physical force on the used sanitary product; a separation step of separating the pulp fiber from a mixture of the pulp fiber and the other material produced in the decomposing step; a disinfection step with a disinfectant; and a citric acid treatment step of treating the separated pulp fiber with a citric acid aqueous solution in a state where its pH lies in an acidic state.SELECTED DRAWING: None
