To provide a sawtooth wave generation circuit that can easily generate a sawtooth wave voltage having a stable amplitude and having a steep gradient at a sudden voltage change with the use of a single output capacitor.

The sawtooth wave generation circuit includes: a switch circuit 11 switchable between a first connection state to conduct a current of a current source 9 from a first terminal 3a to a second terminal 3b of an output capacitor 3, and a second connection state to conduct a current of the current source 9 from the second terminal 3b to the first terminal 3a of the output capacitor 3; and a switch control circuit 4 for, when an output voltage VOUT reaches a predetermined threshold VH relative to an intermediate voltage VM in each connection state of the switch circuit 11, switching the switch circuit 11 to the other connection state in at least a part of a predetermined subsequent period.
