To provide a low cost, efficient and reliable scroll compressor.
A rotating spiral part 11 rotates to suck, compress and discharge fluid jointly with a fixed spiral part 10, and fluid supplied to a fluid reservoir 21 in a back surface of the rotating spiral part 11 is supplied as back pressure of the rotating spiral part 11 via the rotating spiral art 11 under a designated restriction and is supplied to a retention groove 34 retaining a seal member 33 between a blade tip of the rotating spiral part 1 and the fixed spiral part 10 to seal and lubricate each the spiral parts 10, 11. Especially, supply of fluid to the retention groove 34 is done so as to achieve the above mentioned objective by intermittent direct or indirect communication between the fluid reservoir 21 and the retention groove 34 in accordance with rotation of the rotating spiral part 11.
