Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shroud for a gas turbine.SOLUTION: A shroud 100 includes an outer box having a first wall 186 and a second wall 180 circumferentially separated from the first wall 186. An inner box 110 is positioned within the outer box. The inner box 110 defines one or more passageways extending through the inner box 110 and a first chamber 112. The inner box 110 and the outer box collectively define a second chamber. The one or more passageways defined by the inner box 110 fluidly couple the first chamber 112 and the second chamber. The first wall 186 of the outer box defines a first boss 198 and a first notch 210, and the second wall 180 of the outer box defines a second boss 196 and a second notch 212. A gas turbine is also provided that includes a plurality of such turbine shrouds 100.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
