Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealant composition for repairing a puncture of a tire which has good sealability and stability, is easy to handle and hardly decomposed and has low viscosity increase at a low temperature and a long service life.SOLUTION: There is provided a sealant composition which comprises a latex emulsion, nano-porous particles, a surfactant, an antifreeze agent, a humectant and water, where the nano-porous particles contain at least one of zeolite, a silica aerosol gel, mesoporous silicon dioxide, a carbon aerosol, mesoporous carbon, activated carbon, a cenosphere, diatomaceous earth, a porous metal and an organic chelate compound and the ratio is 0.01 to 5%. The antifreeze agent is at least one selected from propylene glycol, glycerin, diethylene glycol and 1,3-propanediol and the ratio is 40 to 90 wt.%. The ratio of the latex emulsion is 2 to 20 wt.%, the ratio of the surfactant is 0.1 to 2.5 wt.% and the ratio of the humectant is 0.01 to 5 wt.%.
