PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a security device that can improve a user's convenience and offer continuous intrusion monitoring.SOLUTION: A security device 2 has an alert mode for monitoring intrusion to a monitoring area and a cancel mode for not monitoring intrusion, and sets the alert mode on the condition that there is no one in the monitoring area. The security device 2 stores rights of each user, and determines why there is no one in the monitoring area if the alert mode is set on the condition that there is no one in the monitoring area. If a user tries setting the cancel mode during the alert mode, the security device determines whether the setting of the cancel mode will be approved or disapproved according to the reason why there is no one in the monitoring area and the user's rights.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
