Title:
SEPARATION OF AMINO ACID
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01228947
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To easily and economically separate amino acid by taking advantage of the permeability of amino acid through a fibroin membrane.

CONSTITUTION: An amino acid solution is adjusted to pH5.5W13.0 and made to contact with a fibroin membrane to effect selective permeation of the amino acid through the fibroin membrane to the outside of the membrane. The fibroin of the fibroin membrane can be separated from cocoon produced by silkworm. As an alternative method, fibroin can be produced by drying an aqueous solution of fibroin and insolubilizing with ethanol or drying a mixture of an aqueous solution of fibroin with glycerol, etc., and insolubilizing the dried material. Amino acid is an essential nutrient and is useful as a synthetic intermediate for feeds and pharmaceuticals.
