To provide a servo amplifier which has a power regenerating function that can achieve the optimization (downsizing), the cost reduction, and the energy saving of a device, by being able to avoid an excessive specification of device structure.
An AC-DC converting section (converter section) 11 and a DC-AC converting section (inverter section) 12 are integrated, and the AC-DC converting section (converter section) 11 and the DC-AC converting section (inverter section) 12 are integrated by the connection of a DC link 16. The DC link 16 is constituted by a short bar or screwing, for example. Moreover, a power semiconductor 15 is arranged on the surface of a heat sink 17. The integrated structure of this AC-DC converting section (converter section) 11 and the DC-AC converting section (inverter section) 12 is so arranged on the heat sink 17 as to catch the power semiconductor 15. For the AC-DC converting section (converter section) 11, it is also possible to select and attach an optimal specification one.
