To provide a servo amplifier which can process power recovery in safety after emergency stop.
In a servo amplifier 1 for conducting a servo motor 5 by turning a servo conduction command from a host apparatus 4 on, emergency stopping the servo motor 5 by turning an emergency stop signal from an emergency stop judgment section 3 for turning the emergency stop signal on when conditions for stopping the servo motor 5 are satisfied on thereby turning conduction of the servo motor 5 off, and then subjecting the motor 5 to power recovery state by turning the emergency stop signal off, nonconduction state of the servo motor is sustained if the servo conduction command from the host apparatus 4 is sustained on when the emergency stop signal is turned off, and only when the servo conduction command from the host apparatus 4 is turned on again after temporarily turned off, a power recovery section 2 recovery the servo motor 5 to conduction state.
