Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate a necessary bobbin thread amount required for sewing a pattern while taking various conditions such as the thickness of the thread, the thickness and hardness of an article to be sewn under consideration; and to display a warning when an actual bobbin thread residual amount becomes less than a corrected bobbin thread required amount.
SOLUTION: This sewing machine is equipped with various condition input- operating means 8 which inputs various conditions such as the kind of a fabric, the kind of the thread, a means 4 for obtaining a bobbin thread required amount for a sewing element selected by a correcting factor in response to the input condition, and a means 7 for obtaining a bobbin thread consumption amount- correcting factor from an actual bobbin thread consumption amount for the sewing element and the bobbin thread required amount. By the correcting factor, the bobbin thread required amount when the sewing is continued under the same condition is corrected. Then, a bobbin thread amount-comparing means 14 is provided, the bobbin thread residual amount and the bobbin thread required amount which is correct-computed are compared, and the shortage of the bobbin thread residual amount is notified depending on the comparison result.
