To provide a sewing machine provided with a plurality of blocks with joining engagement parts which can be joined with each other and capable of constituting an auxiliary table for expanding a bed surface of a bed part by joining the joining engagement parts of the plurality of blocks with each other.

The sewing machine comprises a sewing machine main body 3 provided with a bed part 1 with the bed surface 16 and an arm part 2 and a needle holding part 21 for holding a needle 20. The plurality of blocks 5 with the joining engagement parts 6 which can be joined with each other are provided. By joining the joining engagement parts 6 of the plurality of blocks 5 with each other, the plurality of blocks 5 constitute the auxiliary table 7 connected to the bed part 1 for expanding the bed surface 16. The shape of the auxiliary table 7 is changed by changing the joining of the plurality of blocks 5 and the blocks 5 are usable as a small article container as well.
