Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine which can interrupt sewing of an embroidery pattern conveniently at free timing set by a user without a user having to pay close attention.SOLUTION: A sewing machine includes an embroidery data storage part 5, an interruption timing selection part 7 and an interruption control part 8. In the embroidery data storage part 5, embroidery data 51 is stored, and input of scheduled interruption timing, an instruction to interrupt sewing, and an instruction to continue sewing is received. The interruption timing selection part 7 selects one of a cut-off operation in which continuity of seams is cut off, in a predetermined range before or after the scheduled interruption timing out of the embroidery data 51. During sewing of an embroidery pattern, when reaching the cut-off operation selected by the interruption timing selection part 7, the interruption control part 8 maintains stop of a sewing machine motor 15 until there is input of the instruction to interrupt or the instruction to continue.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
