Abstract:

To reduce tack welding of a welding member when a hollow shape steel is connected from one face side thereof.

The butt joint part of face plates 12b, 22b of shape steels 10, 20 is stuck together by friction-agitation-connection welding. Then, a welding member 30 is placed on the seat of the shape steel 10, 20. A projected part 34 of one end of the welding member 30 is inserted in a groove 14 of the end of the face plate 11 of the shape steel 10. Subsequently, the other end of the welding member 30 is stuck to the face plate 21 of another hollow shape steel 20 in a tack welding fashion. In this state, the butt joint parts of the face plate 11 and the welding member 30 are stuck to each other by the friction-agitation- connection welding. Further, the lap section of the other end of the welding member 30 and the shape steel 20 is stuck together by the friction-agitation- connection welding.
