Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shedding method and apparatus effective for ensuring the weft-insertion stability and the quality of woven fabric.
SOLUTION: A plurality of linear motors 17 are arranged in the weft-insertion direction. A supporting member 13 is fixed to a movable member 171 constituting the linear motor 17 together with a stator 172 and a plurality of healds 131-136 are protruded on the supporting member 13. Warps moving in the same direction during one weft-insertion cycle are passed through the healds 131-136. The heald groups 131-136 dividedly supported with plural supporting members 13 are separately driven with plural linear motors 17 synchronous with the weft-insertion timing of a weft-insertion means.
