Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a user from all dangerous materials which are in a range accessible by a hand of the user from the opening of a sheet ejection part in a sheet processing device to secure user's safety.SOLUTION: A sheet processing device 200 is provided with a processing tray 209 for loading a sheet S, a sheet discharge roller 211 and a driven roller 214 for discharging the sheet S from the processing tray 209, and a sheets height detection sensor 213 for detecting the height of sheets S loaded on the processing tray 209, and carries out a prescribed process for the paper S. Further, the device has a drive motor 217 for moving the driven roller 214 to a height direction, and a CPU401 for setting an evacuation distance of the driven roller 214 from the paper S. The drive motor 217 moves the driven roller 214 to a first position which fluctuates according to the height of a sheet surface by setting of the CPU 401 and a second position which contacts the sheet surface Sc in a distance or less through which a hand cannot pass from the sheet surface Sc of the sheet S.
