When the uppermost sheet S1 is transported, the friction member 11 moves together with the movement of the uppermost sheet S1, and the friction member 11 moves to a predetermined position. When the returning force of the spring 12 becomes greater than the frictional force between the friction member 11 and the uppermost sheet, the friction member 11 moves to the transportation upstream side and is positioned on the upper face of the second sheet S2 so that the friction member 11 positioned on the upper face of the sheet S2 is moved to the transportation upstream side by the returning force of the spring 12. At this time, the second sheet S2 is returned to the transportation upstream side.
