Abstract:
To provide a shelf device and furniture with a top plate that have improved usability while achieving effective use of a work surface.SOLUTION: A shelf device 4 provided on the top surface of furniture 1 with a top plate having a top plate 2 and a top plate support leg 3 for supporting the top plate 2 from the undersurface includes: a flat shelf board 12 provided on the top surface of the top plate 2 so as to be separated from the top plate 2 in a vertical direction; a suspended shelf 16 attached to the undersurface of the shelf board 12 in a state that an article placing surface 61 on which an article is placed and the undersurface of the shelf board 12 are opposed to each other, which forms an article placing space SP between the article placing surface 61 and the undersurface of the shelf board 12; and a locking mechanism (a locking groove part 24, side wall locking parts 64a and 64b, and a rear wall locking part 67) for changeably locking an attaching position of the suspended shelf 16 on the undersurface of the shelf board 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
