Abstract:
To properly execute a stepped shift mode.SOLUTION: A shift control device for controlling a continuously variable transmission connected with an engine, has a continuously variable transmission control portion executing a continuously variable transmission mode as a shift mode, and controlling a transmission ratio of the continuously variable transmission in a stepless manner, a stepped transmission control portion executing a stepped transmission mode as the shift mode, and controlling the continuously variable transmission in a plurality of stages of fixed transmission ratios R1-R7, a mode setting portion for switching the shift mode from the continuously variable transmission mode to the stepped transmission mode when a vehicle is accelerated by an accelerator operation, and a transmission ratio setting portion for setting an initial transmission ratio as a first target transmission ratio in the stepped shift mode. The transmission ratio setting portion estimates variation of an engine rotating speed in switching from the continuously variable transmission mode to the stepped transmission mode, and setting a fixed transmission ratio in which the variation of the engine rotating speed is a lower limit value Nu1 or more, as the initial transmission ratio (code c4).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
