PURPOSE: To properly absorb shock according to a road condition by providing a value device through a connector device, electrically controlling the flow of damping fluid caused by a reciprocating piston of a pressure cylinder between a first and a second sections in a working chamber.
CONSTITUTION: A shock absorber 10 has a piston 36 for reciprocating within a pressure cylinder 32 corresponding with a vibration of the car body, and working oil within the working chamber 34 circulates through valve discs 60, 62 to absorb shock. Locations of the valve discs 60, 62 are controlled by a solenoid. The valve discs are electrically connected to the solenoid in a manner that a female connector assembly 86 is engaged inserting into a swivel notch 84 of an annular adapter shaft 70, and a male connector assembly 106, insulated boot 123, a latch-type cap 128 are further mounted therein. Data from electrical elements within the shock absorber are transferred to a process electron section of the exterior of the shock absorber to be evaluated and to reduce interference to other elements caused by electric connectors.
