Abstract:
PURPOSE: To ensure excellent anti-peeling performance even under a severe lubrication condition.
CONSTITUTION: When the depth range of 0 to 50μm from the surface is denoted as surface layer, the maximum compression residual stress of this surface layer is set at 50 to 100kgf/mm2. Similarly, hardness of the surface layer is set at Hv830 to Hv960. The proportion of residual austenite in the surface layer is set at 7volume% or more. A fine continuous irregularity is formed on the surface. When the proportion of the area of recess parts 1 and 1 constituting this irregularity is assumed to be 80% of the total surface area, the diameter of converted into a complete round projecting parts 2 and 2 constituting the irregularity is set 15μm or less.
