Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication wireless system utilizing an optical channel capable of recovering data otherwise ordinarily falling into errors to the utmost and realizing reduction in an error rate.
SOLUTION: An equalizer 8 is located between a reception stage of an optical module 7a and a serial parallel / parallel serial converter 10 for carrying out serial parallel conversion, a controller 9 automatically sets an optimum value to an initial value of a filter parameter of the equalizer 8 depending on a type of the optical module in advance, and on the occurrence of an error due to electric characteristics such as a substrate noise and optical characteristic deterioration, the controller 9 automatically selects any of several filter parameters for the equalizer 8 and repeats data retransmission and thereafter activates the system under the filter parameter setting value of the equalizer 8.
