Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sixteen-wheel suspension system which avoids the generation of displacement at two-axle rear-side wheels when two-axle front-side wheels of a trailer having the fore-and-aft two axles at a rear side and sixteen wheels straddle steps or the like.SOLUTION: A sixteen-wheel suspension system 10 is constituted of four sets of air suspension units 14A, 14B, 16A and 16B having the same constitutions which are attached to four wheels each, and in each air suspension unit, a beam 22 and a trunnion block 26 which are installed at a support shaft 20 at a vehicle body frame 18 side so as to be oscillatory are connected to each other, and an air bellows 28 and a shock absorber 30 are connected to an end at a side opposite to the support shaft 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
