Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve sliding characteristics of a ski by providing between a binding belt and a ski top a spacer which is formed larger than the space between the binding belt and the ski top and by supporting the spacer elastically so as to selectively affect an expected load of the ski. CONSTITUTION: At least one of two binding members, namely a toe piece 14 and a heel piece 15, is supported movably in the longitudinal direction of a ski 10. These binding members are bound to each other with a binding belt 20 extending over a ski top 11 and constant in length. A spacer 30 is placed on the ski top 11 between the toe piece 14 and the heel piece 15. In such a ski binding, the spacer 30, in the preparation of sliding without a load by external forces, is larger than the space between the binding belt 20 and the ski top 11, and forms a projection 30a for example. The spacer 30 constitutes itself so that it may elastically support the binding belt 20 and the ski.
