Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide contact member that is able to prolong the life of a mating member, and to provide a motor and dynamo using the same.SOLUTION: A slide contact member comprises: a conductive hard carbon containing part that relatively comes into slide contact with a mating member and contains conductive hard carbons; and a soft material containing part disposed on the entire surface opposite the mating member of the conductive hard carbon containing part or on part of it, and containing material softer than the conductive hard carbons. The motor or dynamo comprises the slide contact member as at least a commutator or brush, the slide contact member including: the conductive hard carbon containing part that relatively comes into slide contact with the mating member; and the soft material containing part disposed on the entire surface opposite the mating member of the conductive hard carbon containing part or on part of it, and containing material softer than the conductive hard carbons.
