Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To favorably control changeover from a perfect lock up state to a slip state by providing an output control means changing output of a prime mover so as to restrain output variation of the prime mover.
SOLUTION: The oil pressure of a release oil chamber 33 at deceleration slip control is already raised to some extent at a perfect lock up state, and hence it reaches target oil pressure in a short time. At the time, engine output is in a gradually lowering state. Intake air against the engine is actually reduced up to the idling state, and at the time at which engine torque is transiently varied largely, a lock up clutch 27 is in a slip state, consequently even if combustion in the engine is unstable and the output torque is suddenly varied, the slip quantity of the lock up clutch 27 is increased so as to absorb the torque variation. Hereby the output shaft torque is smoothly varied, and hence a shock is not bodily sensed.
