Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To economically configure a weaving method or loom machine parts and/or to improve the quality of a woven fabric.SOLUTION: A small-size shuttle 10 for a loom is alternately transferred from one side to the other side of a woven fabric in a state of the continuous engagement of machine-side guide elements, and in this case, the small-size shuttle 10 is transferred from a first transfer member 5 to a second transfer member 6 in a weft insertion direction 21 through a shuttle path below or above warp yarns stretched in a warp direction 23 in the loom. The two transfer members 5 and 6 are connected to the shuttle 10 in a transfer period. A left-side connection part 15 and a right-side connection part 16 are provided for connecting the small-size shuttle 10 to each transfer member. A weft yarn spool 12 for storing a weft yarn 20 is configured so as to be actively drivable in the rotation thereof and can be driven by a drive device 30. The drive device at least acts on the weft yarn spool 12 to accelerate or decelerate the delivery of the weft yarn.
