PURPOSE: To provide a small-sized DC motor, in which a section between a commutator and a brush is lubricated excellently even at a low temperature and the duration of lubrication can be lengthened sufficiently even at a high temperature.

CONSTITUTION: A small-sized DC motor has a commutator 8 and a brush 9 slid on the commutator, and the inside of a motor case 1 is kept in the atmosphere of an organic solvent. Two kinds or more of organic solvents having different boiling points are mixed in the organic solvent, and the mixing ratio of the low boiling-point solvent in the organic solvents is set at 10-50wt.%.
