To provide a solid insulated switchgear, which can make longer the life of a vacuum valve by buffering a large oscillatory impact load occurring at the time of bringing a movable electrode into contact with a fixed electrode.

A solid insulated switchgear includes: a vacuum valve having a fixed electrode and a movable electrode held in a closed vessel; and a contact-pressure device which constitutes part of a connection mechanism, and applies a force for pressing the movable electrode into contact with the fixed electrode to the movable electrode. The contact-pressure device 14 has: an end part 20 formed at one end of a rod 18 and having an outer diameter larger than that of the rod; a buffer part 17 with a fitting portion 17a which the end part is slidably fit in; a closure part 30 sealing the fitting portion with the rod reeved through an open hole 30a; an urging part 19 for urging the rod in a direction in which the end part is urged to contact with the closure part; and a small flow path 23 formed therein, which allows oil to flow between an oil chamber 22 and the outside thereof.
