Lids are arranged on a cover-receiving part provided on upper ends of inside walls of both side walls of a gutter body. In an inner wall surface of the cover-receiving part, a plurality of vertical recesses are provided bilaterally symmetrically, each of the recesses being so formed that upper and lower parts are circular recesses and the size of the chord and arc of the recess increases as it goes downward. The side face of the cover is formed in a taper face with an upper face wider than a lower face. On the side face of the cover, a plurality of vertical protrusions are provided in a vertically suspending shape, each of the protrusions being so formed that the arc diameter thereof is slightly larger than that of the vertical recess and the size of the chord and arc of the protrusion increases as it goes downward, the upper part thereof being formed of concrete, the lower part thereof being formed of a flexible sound-deadening member. The vertical recesses come into line contact with the sound-deadening members, respectively, to generate a restraining force, thus preventing rattling of the covers and restricting generation of noises.
