PURPOSE: To provide safe and easy changeover between forward and backward motions by selecting gear shifts from NWH using a foot lever, selecting gear shifts from RWL with a hand lever, and switching operations for the two levers in the positions N and L.

CONSTITUTION: A shift cam of rotary type 10 is used to the speed change device of this car concerned, for ex. a four-wheel car of saddle ride type. Here the shapes of cam grooves 11 in which pins 13 of shift forks 12 furnished at the periphery of said shift cam 10, are set in a pattern so that gear shift is performed in the sequence as R, N, L, 2nd, 3rd, and H by means of regular or reverse rotation of the shift cam 10 in a certain angle range. The shift cam 10 is gear shifted with a foot lever in the range NWH. Meantime the shift cam 10 is gear shifted by the use of a hand lever 7 in the range RWL via an intermediate lever 8 and a cable 9. Operations of the two levers 6, 7 shall be switchable from one to the other in a plurality of positions N and L.
