PURPOSE:To make the smooth inching driving of a car performable, by using a driving system of a general friction clutch or a geared transmission as it is, while controlling an operating device of a speed shift control factor to attain a desired clutch stroke or the like with pressure air as a control medium. CONSTITUTION:A friction clutch 31 being disengaged and vice versa with operation of an air cylinder 42 is installed interposingly between an output shaft 30a of an engine 30 and an input shaft 44 of a geared transmission 32. And, a gear position of the geared transmission 32 is made so as to be selected by actuation of a power cylinder inside a gear shift unit 51 according to operation of a change lever 54. The air cylinder 42 and the power cylinder are actuated by air pressure by way of solenoid valves 49, 50 and 53 being controlled by a control unit 52. At the above-mentioned, when accelerator opening is less than the specified value at the time of car starting, the engine 30 is driven at its desired revolving speed, while the control unit 52 is constituted to connect the friction clutch 31 according to a desired clutch stroke inching a car.
