Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make an air quantity to be sufficient by allowing the operations of both ignition and fuel systems after an intake throttle valve is opened to its desired opening being set by a cooling water temperature at the time of starting an internal combustion engine.

CONSTITUTION: Control at the start of an internal combustion engine is started, this controller reads a cooling water temperature a cooling water temperature sensor detects, setting the desired opening TH-θ of an intake throttle valve (202). In addition, it drives an actuator (204), inputting a drive signal of a self- starting motor (206). Then, a fact of whether the opening TH-θ of the intake throttle valve has cane to the desired opening set by the cooling water temperature Tw or not is judged (208). When NO is the case, it controls each operation of both ignition and fuel systems of the engine to be prohibited, whereby it will in no come perform ignition and injection (210), driving the actuator (212), and it returns to a judgment 208. When this judgment 208 turns to the desired opening and YES is the case, the ignition-injection 214 is performed to allow the operations of both ignition and fuel systems. Therefore, an air quantity will not be insufficient at all.
