Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stay yarn for casting with which smooth casting is carried out in a long distance without breaking of the yarn during casting.
SOLUTION: The stay yarn for casting comprises a butt part having a large diameter, a tapered part connected to the butt part and having a diameter gradually tapered to be smaller and a tipped part connected to the tapered part and having the smallest diameter and has 16-30 m total length. By bringing a knot to firstly pass through a guide after the yarn passes toward a position ≥16 m from the tip of the stay yarn, hanging of the yarn to the guide, contact resistance of the yarn to the guide are reduced and easiness of casting in long distance is improved.
