PURPOSE: To improve the temperature-rising characteristic of a vaporizing body for shortening the time until steam is jetted, and also to eliminate the mixture of water drops in the steam for securely smoothing out wrinkles from clothing by thermally separating a steam jetting board from the vaporizing body, and by quickly raising the temperature of a thermal conductor of a dispersing chamber through the heat of steam flowed in.

CONSTITUTION: A steam jetting board 4 is constituted separatedly from a vaporizing body 3 so that substantially heat conduction is not carried out. Accordingly, heating of the vaporizing body 3 by means of an electric heater 6 is efficiently carried out to attain a prescribed temperature in a short time, and a thermoresponsive valve 16 is opened with the reversal of a bimetal 20, so that the time until steam is jetted can be shortened. The upper part of a dispersing chamber 9 of a steam jetting board 4 is closed by a cover 21 having a small heat capacity, and the bottom surface thereof is likewise provided with a terminal conductor 22 of a small heat capacity. As a result, at the initial stage of steam jetting, the temperature of the thermal conductor 22 and the cover 21 is quickly raised by the heat thereof, so that the occurrence of dewing can be prevented.
