Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering controller capable of providing the stable travelling without freely rotating tires even when a steering wheel is not operated in the steering controller having a handle and the steering wheel not mechanically connected to each other.
SOLUTION: In this steering controller of a fork lift truck comprising a handle, a steering wheel not mechanically connected to the handle, a handle steering angular velocity detector for detecting the steering angular velocity ωof the handle, and a DC steering motor 15 for steering the steering wheel, a voltage detector 23 is mounted for detecting the electromotive voltage E produced between the armature terminals 22A, 22B of the steering motor 15, and the electric current of a code opposite to that of the electromotive voltage E detected by the voltage detector 23 is allowed to flow between the armature terminals 22A, 22B of the motor 15 when the operation of the handle is approximately stopped, and the steering angular velocity ω of the handle is not changed.
