PURPOSE: To allow a succeeding vehicle to travel, correctly copying the traveling locus of a preceding vehicle by shifting the steering angle for each steered wheel of the preceding vehicle and storing the above-described steering angle in each traveling in a certain distance and successively transmitting the steering data to the succeeding vehicle, in the multiconnection traveling.
CONSTITUTION: When a driver operates the traveling steering instruction device 40 of a top vehicle 1a and steers all the wheels of the top vehicle 1a, in the muticonnection traveling, the outputs of the steering angle detectors 10-13 of the top vehicle 1a and a traveling distance meter 14 are inputted into a memory 9 through a steering controller 8, and the steering angle data in each certain distance is memorized. The steering angle data memorized in the memory 9 is sent into the succeeding vehicle 1b from a communication device 25, and memorized in the memory 9 of the succeeding vehicle 1b. When the front steered wheel of the top vehicle 1a is steered by the instruction value of the traveling steering instruction device 40, the rear steered wheel is steered in the reverse phase. Further, the front steered wheel of the second succeeding vehicle 1b is steered according to the steering data, and the rear steered wheel is steered in the reverse phase to the steering data, and also the third succeeding vehicle 1b is steered similarly.
