To provide a steering device for a vehicle capable of inhibiting fluctuations of steering reaction during corrective control of automatic behaviors.
This steering device for a vehicle includes: a steering controller 13 capable of turning steered wheels independent of a steering wheel 1 steered by a driver; a brake controller 17 capable of assigning a braking/driving force to the wheels independent of braking/driving operations by the driver; an automatic behavior correction controller for correcting vehicle behaviors so as to reduce understeering or oversteering by at least either the steering controller 13 or the brake controller 17 during understeering or oversteering; and a steering reaction controller for assigning steering reaction at least in accordance with the amount of steering state of front wheels 5, 5 to the steering wheel 1. While the automatic behavior correction controller is being executed, the steering reaction controller decreases steering reaction corresponding to the amount of a steering state and increases steering reaction in accordance with the amount of turning state.
