To demold a solidified lumpy stone material from a frame simply and stably without damaging a stone material or the frame.
When the lumpy stone material is manufactured by solidifying a waste material containing CaO or Ca(OH)2 and/or slag containing CaO or Ca(OH)2 as a principal component by carbonation reaction, the frame is formed into a structure so that the upper surface and at least one side surface thereof are made openable, closable or detachable. A fixing means is provided to the frame so as to fix the same on the ground. The member for forming a space is placed on the upper surface of the bottom plate of the frame and the frame is subsequently filled with the raw material for a stone material densely and, after the lumpy stone material is solidified by the carbonation reaction, one openable and closable or detachable side surface is opened, closed or detached and a lift means is introduced from the side surface to the space to raise the solidified lumpy stone material upwardly to demold the same from the frame.
