To save on a manufacturing cost for a storage container such as a bathtub or the like and secure the strength and further enhance the productivity by retaining the back face side of a first layer which is of a storage container shape and is comparatively higher corrosion resistant with a second layer of comparatively higher strength.
This storage container is constructed of a back-up material made up of a metallic molding 1 obtained by forming a corrosion-preventive treated layer 4 on both surfaces or only one of the surfaces of the back-up material, a resin layer 2 and an adhesive material layer 3 interposed between the inner surface of the metallic back-up material and the resin layer 2. The resin layer 2 is whatever kind of resin which can be used for a bathtub especially without difficulties, for example, acrylic, polyester, vinyl ester, polypropylene, polyethyleneterephthalate, epoxy or the like. The corrosion-preventive treated layer 4 is for protecting the metallic molding 1 against corrosion when the storage container is used for a long time. The corrosion-resistant treatment method is such as chemical treatment, anodic oxidation treatment, plating treatment, coating or the like, and either of these treatment method or a combination of two or more different treatment methods are used.
