Abstract:
To provide a new vehicle strength member made of a synthetic resin which can inhibit deterioration of mechanical characteristics caused by water absorption over a long time.SOLUTION: In a vehicle strength member 10 made of a synthetic resin and having attachment parts 14, 22 on which external force is exerted, a surface layer 44 having water absorbability smaller than that of a strength member body 12 is provided on a surface, and the surface layer 44 has elasticity larger than the strength member body 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
