Title:
STRETCHABLE SPUN-BONDED NONWOVEN FABRIC
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH09132856
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To produce a stretchable spun-bonded nonwoven fabric which has excellent fabric hand, surface strength, readily stretchable in the transverse direction with an extremely small stress and suitably useful as a stretchable member in hygienic materials.

This is a stretchable spun-bonded nonwaven fabric produced by the following processes. A thermoplastic resin is melt-extruded into continuous filaments, the group of continuous filament yarns are drawn with high-speed and high-pressure air from an ejector, taken up, opened, collected and accumulated on a yarn-collecting supporter to form a web. In this web, a continuous filament spun-bonded nonwoven fabric having a first regularly intermittent self-bonding region is formed in the longitudinal direction, and also a second regularly intermittent self-bonding region is formed by drawing nonwoven fabric so that the width ratio of the nonwoven fabric before and after drawing may become 100/90-100/50 by using hot rolls while keeping the width of the fabric after drawing. The spun-bonded nonwoven fabric consists of 2 sheets of the continuous filament spun-bonded nonwoven fabric having the first regularly intermittent self-bonding region. The stress at 50% elongation in the transverse direction is 50-200g, when it is measured with a stretchable spun-bonded nonwoven fabric of 25mm width.
