To provide a structure of a terminal for a surface mount inductor, for improving the filling property of powder by improving the inflow of magnetic powder to the lower side of the terminal, and preventing breaks and cracks in bending work by mitigating stress in bending the terminal.
The structure of the terminal for the surface mount inductor is composed by connecting lead parts 6 at both ends of a coil 1 comprising a conductive material, and the bonding part of the terminal, embedding the entire coil 1, lead parts 6 and a part of the terminal including the bonding part of the terminal, inside a compact 2 comprising a magnetic body, and bending the terminal projected from the compact 2 to the outside, along the side face of the compact. A through-hole 5 is provided at least on a part of the region 4 of the terminal to be embedded in the compact.
