Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substituted hydroxamic acid and use thereof.SOLUTION: Provided is a compound of formula (I) that is useful as an inhibitor of HDAC6, where R, R, G, m, n, p, and q have the meaning as described herein. Also provided are pharmaceutical compositions comprising a compound of the invention and methods for using these compositions in the treatment of proliferative, inflammatory, infectious, neurological, and cardiovascular diseases or disorders. The invention provides a method for treating proliferative disorders such as breast cancer, lung cancer, ovarian cancer, multiple myeloma, acute myeloid leukemia or acute lymphoblastic leukemia by administering to the patient a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of formula (I).
