PURPOSE: To improve efficiency of ironing work and effect of smoothing out cloth by detecting exhaust pressure by a pressure detector, and controlling output to a motor so as to keep the exhaust pressure constant.
CONSTITUTION: An air guide 20 for air flow from an air inlet 15 to an air outlet 17 generated by rotation of a fan 19 connected to a motor 18 is provided. The number of rotations of the motor 18 is varied by a controller 23 depending on the output from a pressure detector provided inside of the air outlet 17 to keep the exhaust pressure constant. Absorption force is controlled depending on thickness or kind of cloth to be ironed: low for thin cloth to prevent it from being extremely absorbed to a cover, and high for thick cloth while making steam pass through well, thus to improve effect of smoothing out cloth.
