Title:
SUPER-SUBMERGED AERATION METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3242473
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To treat high conc. waste water in a more conserved space and to dispense with return sludge by allowing raw water to flow in a long vertical shaft packed with immobilized bacteria and supplying air into the falling and rising flow pipe parts of the shaft.
CONSTITUTION: A long vertical shaft 10 is packed with immobilized bacteria. Next, raw water is allowed to flow in the long vertical shaft 10 and air is supplied into the falling and rising flow pipe parts 15,16 of the shaft 10 from nozzles 18,19 to form circulating flow consisting of the falling flow in the falling flow pipe part 15 and the rising flow in the rising flow pipe part 16. The raw water moving as falling flow becomes rising flow at the bottom part 13 of the shaft 10 to rise to a head tank 20 and flows in a horizontal direction through a water passage 22 to circulate to the falling flow pipe part 15. By this constitution, high load treatment with BOD volume load of 4kg/m3/day or more can be achieved.
