Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a surface active agent which is very useful as a component of a detergent, such as a shampoo or a body shampoo, because of low irritativeness to the skin, excellent foaming ability and foam stability, and good solubility and compatibility.
CONSTITUTION: This surface active agent comprises a sugar ester of an N-acyl amino acid represented by the formula. In the formula, R1 is a 7-21C alkyl or alkenyl; R2 is a neutral or basic amino acid side chain; and S is a residue obtained by removing one hydroxyl group from an oligosaccharide or oligosaccharide alcohol consisting of 5-6C monosaccharide units.
