Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spring connector having excellent performance and productivity at low cost, by solving the problem of a conventional spring connector.
SOLUTION: Not like conventional metal tube, a main body part of the spring connector has a structure of housing a coil spring 14 and a plunger 12 in a vacant space 11e in a container 11 made by resin molding on the outer surface of which, a conductive film is plated, and fixing a lid 13. A plating is also applied on the all inner surface of the vacant space and connected to the conductive film on the outer surface. By forming a bottom surface of the vacant space aslant, the plunger can be made hollow and the coil spring can be made long, the conductive film inside the vacant space and the plunger can be made well conductive between themselves by making the plunger slant. At the manufacture, many number of connectors are obtained at one time by forming an aggregate of spring connectors by using many number of containers 11 and lids 13 connected lengthwise and crosswise, and dicing them. The spring connector has a plunger energized by the spring coil, and used for the connection with electronic parts by installing on a circuit board. By the above, occurrence of problems like inadequacy of stroke, unstable contact resistance, wrong installation, low productivity or the like are solved.
